This is one of my favorite older hot wheels redlines casting. The number on the door and that chrome with stripes just screams awesome. Nice casting will have to find a better picture of one. I like the orange one that came out in the Hotwheels Collector’s club a few years back. Guess I am just a mustang sucker too. (shrug)

Found this little gold beauty lying around. 1970 Chevelle casting. the next color after the original blue and white stripe original first edition in 1999. One thing that i thought was interesting is that this casting has a plastic bottom where the original first edition was a metal base. Anyway, the gold paint with black stripe is pretty sweet. Would have to say this is currently one of my favorite hotwheels casting.

Watched the 1st episode of Knight Rider tonight with my kids. My daugther and my oldest son loved it. The turbo over the bad guys in the beginning was ultra cheesy, but hey most of the old knight rider series was cheesy. I like the change of characters and the modern times. They do seem to find some very attractive ladies. I told my wife that it could keep me watching just for that factor alone

The Surf Crate came out in 2000.  Definitely one of the best  First Editions to come out next to the Mini Cooper. The variations you could get would have either a purple roof or a dark blue roof. The one shown is the purple version. Mattel was pretty slick on this one the blue and purple one look a like from afar. Neat cast was a remininscent of the first years cast.
